Mr. Madsen has been certified as a Windstorm Umpire. He has acted as a court appointed Arbitrator assisting the court in deciding the pre-loss values, the after-loss values and the as-repaired value of property.

Mr. Madsen has acted on behalf of clients as an outside consultant reviewing scopes of work, contractor billing details, change order logs, equipment calculations, initial conditions and property valuations, site surveys and other areas.

Mr. Madsen is a member of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors, the Green Building Certification Institute, the US Green Building Council, the Building Envelope Science Institute. He is certified as a Defective Drywall Consultant, a Certified Leed Green Associate and has educational certificates for Structural drying, water damage and moisture intrusion in building systems, Mold remediation, Cost estimating for construction, Chinese Drywall Removal supervisor. He has acted as lead estimator, project manager, Senior project manager and Executive Project manager on multi million dollars claims throughout the US.
