Florida Building Inspections, LLC was formed by Mr. Gary Madsen in 2009. Mr. Madsen had just left a high level corporate position. He was looking for a way to make use of his many years of experience in the construction industry. He wanted to bring his personal philosophy of business and management to bear on his clients situations. This involves a lot of personal contact, specialized content and broad based team building. It is the opposite of what people expect and get from large corporate entities.
Basically, FBI, LLC is a way for Mr. Madsen to return to the roots of how he managed the explosive growth of his former company while maintaining a level of personal involvement and service.

Mr. Madsen has worked primarily in the restoration industry. As the former Senior Vice President of a national reconstruction firm he has the knowledge, experience and credentials to understand the facts and assist in successful outcomes.

EXPERT WITNESS

Mr. Madsen has been recognized as an expert in the field of construction, specifically in the field of building damage and restoration.

He has also been recognized as an expert in the field of water damage and mold remediation.

NEGOTIATIONS & TEAM WORK

Mr. Madsen has been part of the negotiating team on numerous large losses, assisting in settlements, arbitrations, mediations and appraisals.

APPRAISER IN INSURANCE DAMAGE AWARDS
Mr. Madsen has regularly been appointed and accepted as an appraiser in insurance damage awards in numerous states. His fair and thorough approach has helped settle many millions of dollars in insurance claims. He has worked on projects throughout the United States on cases large and small.

ARBITRATOR & UMPIRE
Mr. Madsen has been certified as a Windstorm Umpire. He has acted as a court appointed Arbitrator assisting the court in deciding the pre-loss values, the after-loss values and the as-repaired value of property.

CONSULTANT

Mr. Madsen has acted on behalf of clients as an outside consultant reviewing scopes of work, contractor billing details, change order logs, equipment calculations, initial conditions and property valuations, site surveys and other areas. Areas include:

His clients have included: financial firms, publicly traded companies, international investment companies, REITs, manufacturing firms, Health care services, municipal governments, homeowners and builders.

CERTIFICATIONS
Mr. Madsen is a member of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors, the Florida Association of Home Inspectors, the Green Building Certification Institute, the US Green Building Council, the Building Envelope Science Institute. He is certified as a Defective Drywall Consultant, a Certified Leed Green Associate, Certified Infra Red Thermographer, International Association of Certified Indoor Air Quality Consultants and has educational certificates for Structural drying, water damage and moisture intrusion in building systems, Mold remediation, Cost estimating for construction, Chinese Drywall Removal supervisor. He has acted as lead estimator, project manager, Senior project manager and Executive Project manager on multi million dollars claims throughout the US.
